Mentoring programs for girls in Florida have been proven to provide various benefits and positive impacts for young girls, especially those entering/adolescence.
Often, girls are faced with situations that negatively affect their physical and mental health, body image, self-esteem, and personal growth and development. Early adolescence is a pivotal point for girls, a time of transition when girls begin to question and form their identities. Girls tend to behave differently when boys are around; therefore, girls are more comfortable sharing and opening up to other girls.
By providing girls-only group mentoring, A Therapeutic Touch creates a safe space for girls to open up about sensitive topics, be themselves, and feel supported in a confidential, positive, and fun atmosphere.
